2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Jehovah-M'Kaddesh Ex 31:13
Put on our breastplate of Righteousness, (EPH 6, the armor), as we are none worthy, none able to be righteousness, save the righteousness of Christ.
| Ex 31:12 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 13 "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 14 'Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death. 16 'So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.' 17 "It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed." 18 When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God. |

The reference to this facet of Jehovah is found seven times in Leviticus: Lev 20:8, Lev 21:8, 15, 23, Lev 22:9,16,32; and referred to also in 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
So Jehovah Mekeddeshem is...
THE LORD Who...
makes holy
sets apart
separates from the profane
Let Us Pray, Part II expounded on the Lord's prayer guideline found in Matthew chapter 6 starting at verse 9. I wanted to revisit that because it sort of coincides with my recent post on names. Remember I mentioned that name-changing occurrs more than a few times in the bible. Not as in our cultural marriage name change practice, but as in the character of a person had been identified at birth or changed by life.
God. Yaweh. Adonai. El-Shaddai. Elohim. Immanuel. A study will reveal the origin of these names and why they were used, but I wanted to share about the ones that seem to have impacted me since learning of them. I hope you won't mind if I share how I make use of this knowledge in my quiet time with Him. I wanted to focus on what I learned years ago in the same bible study where I learned the focus of our full armor of God.
It would be fun if we had voice posts here. I would record and post the title (only) to this post so you could hear what I hear in my head...ooooo, that's SCARY!! ha ha!
Who is that baby / man in the pictures in my previous post?
