Philipians 1:6 [. . . ] being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
I do not take that lightly. I take that quite personally. No matter what I am going through, He began a good work in me; He will carry it on. No, I do not mean my higher education, though that certainly is encouraging. I do not think that God is concerned with my degree or lack thereof. I know He called me to be a nurse, I have always been a nurturer and a caregiver, but more than that, I know He called me to be His child. I work out my salvation with fear and trembling; I seek, ask and knock; I study to show myself approved and be prepared to give an answer for the joy and victories in my life. What He carries to completion is finished already. . . there for my receiving. . . a free gift.
I receive.
The enemy should retreat because I skipped to the back of THIS book and I already know Who wins. Tremble, serpent, tremble.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12 KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Phillipians 2:12 KJV)
Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you. (Matthew 7:7)[International Standard]
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:1 KJV)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (I Peter 3:15 AKJV)
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30 NIV)
